MODEL 853 FIVE-OUTPUT INSTRUMENTATION POWER SUPPLY
Description
The Model 853 is a five-output linear regulated power supply for applications requiring low ripple and noise. Heatsinks on the rear of the supply provide adequate convection cooling for operation without fans.
Specifications
Input: 105 to 125 VAC 47-440Hz, 3A RMS at full load
Outputs: 5VDC 0 to 1ADC ±15VDC 0 to 1ADC each 26VDC 0 to 3ADC -24VDC 0 to 0.2ADC All four supply commons are isolated from each other
Adjustment range: 5VDC ±0.5V ±15VDC ±1V 26VDC ±1V -24VDC ±1V Regulation: ±0.15% max over line and load variations
Ripple: 3mV RMS max
Remote sensing: ±15V outputs only
Overvoltage clamp: 5VDC 6-6.5V ±15VDC ±18-±19V 26VDC 29-30V -24VDC 27-28V Overload: Regulation stages have electronic current limiting which activates at between 120% and 150% of rated output, with current foldback to approximately 50% of rating
Protection: Input power fuse, 5A slow blow
Power Monitor: Normally-open relay contacts close when all outputs are present
Auctioneering: When two Model 853 supplies are sourcing a common load in parallel, the unit set for the highest DC output voltage will supply the total load current
Front Panel Adjustments: One trimpot per output adjusts output over specified range
Front Panel Meter: Switch-selectable 0-3A analog ammeter for all outputs
Front Panel Indicators: One red LED per output indicates supply is operating
Connections: Rear panel MS3102A-20-29P connector for input power, output power, remote sensing connections, and power monitor relay contact
Mechanical: 19" (standard rack mounting) wide x 5.25" high x 13" deep
