Description

The Model 147 is a signal conditioner for LVDTs which
require DC excitation. It features input signal suppression
and an internal DC calibration voltage source. Each module
has a 4½ digit LCD display, switch-selectable to show
excitation, calibration voltage, or amplifier output. Two- and
four-module benchtop carrying cases are available, which
can mount any combination of Model 146 and Model 147 modules.

Specifications

Gain: Switch-selectable 0.5, 1, 2, or 5, with vernier

Filter: Fixed lowpass filter at 1kHz, 4-pole Bessel response

Output: ±10VDC max, up to 10mA load

Excitation: Two sources, +18VDC and +6VDC, front panel adjustable, plus on/off switch

Suppression: Ten-turn lockable trimpot adjusts DC offset injection from 0-6VDC, with on/off switch

Calibration: Adjustable DC voltage source (1.25VDC - 6.0VDC) can replace input signal

Meter: 4½ digit LCD meter indicates output signal level, or excitation voltage

Connectors: Bridge inputs are PT02-style bulkhead connectors; amplifier outputs are BNC

Identification: Front panel paper label holder allows each module to be marked with its signal source

Power: Unregulated ±24V from rack-mounted supply, which operates on 115VAC ±10% 50/60Hz

Mechanical: Model 4025-101 two-module assembly is 8.5" wide, 13" deep, and 9" high
