MODEL 118 LOW-COST POTENTIOMETER CONDITIONER

Description

The Model 118 potentiometer conditioner is a
two-channel general purpose DC amplifier that plugs into Encore's Model 4015 19" GPSC instrumentation rack, which accommodates up
to eight modules (16 channels). The Model 118
is designed to process DC potentiometer voltages for feedback in control systems. Gain and switch-selectable offset allows a small portion of transducer stroke to be increased to a full scale signal.

Gain: Two jumper-selectable calibrated settings
of 0.5-3 and 3-18, front-panel adjustable

Offset: Front panel ±8V (RTO) offset adjustment
with in/out switch; disabled during CAL

Calibration: Precision voltage reference provides jumper-selectable fullscale or halfscale calibration level upon rear panel command

Signal output: ±10V max, 10mA peak load

Power: Unregulated ±24V from rack-mounted supply

Mechanical: 19"W x 5.25"H x 9"D, eight-module
