Description
The Model 176 is a computer-controlled charge amplifier module. It features variable gain and output scaling and will accept differential or single-ended inputs. The following parameters are displayed and adjustable: accelerometer sensitivity, differential or single-ended mode, scaling, filter setting, external
cal, zero mode.
Specifications
Accel sensitivity: Any value from 2.0 to 200pC/g
Output scaling: 1mV/g, 10mV/g, 20mV/g, 100mV/g

to common)
Maximum input: 30,000pC per input; 60,000pC differential
Frequency response: 80kHz at 0.7VRMS out without distortion; 9kHz at 7VRMS out without distortion
Filter: Six-pole Butterworth highpass at 5Hz, eight-
pole Butterworth lowpass at 12kHz, plus out
External cal: Cal voltage converted to charge by
matched pair of 1000pf capacitors per channel
Zero mode: Relays replace amplifier input with
short
Offset: Less than 5mVDC at output
Noise: Less than 3mVRMS, filter in, input disconnected
Fault indication: One green LED per channel
turns red if amplifier exceeds ±10V
Memory: On-board EEProm stores serial
number, calibration date, etc.
